Help, GNG! My Nose Got a Contracture!

l  What is a Contracture?

If an inflammation happens inside a nose after a rhinoplasty,
the nose might be contracted.
This is called Contracture,
and it leads to upturning, redness on the nose, and thinning skin.
Most clinics/hospitals have those patients wait at least 6 months for a revision,
but GNG can perform a reconstruction earlier
by quickening a recovery with GNG’s know-how.

l   Before & After of GNG Nose Reconstruction

-       Capsular Contracture

-       Inflammation or Necrosis

-       Implants popped out of the skin

-       Nostril Deformation

-       Sunken Collumerlar

-       Sunken Skin

l  Benefits of GNG Nose Reconstruction

-       8 steps of Reconstruction Care System

GNG has 8 steps of Reconstruction Care System
that helps the fastest recovery before & after the operation.

Prior to Operation (Step 1~5)

Step 1: Prior to operation,
GNG provides the patient with the full body examination
with the university hospital devices,
and finds the reason why a Contracture happened to prevent it.

Step 2: Based on the examination data,
our specialist makes a surgery plan that only suits you.

Step 3: The specialist removes the original implants
which caused a Contracture.

Step 4: We provide the patient with a PRP injection
to stimulate skin recovery.

Step 5: Then a PDRN injection is given to the patient
for the tissue recovery and anti-inflammation care.

Step 6: For a strong support on the bridge,
your own rib cartilage is the best material!
GNG specialists can perform nose reconstruction
with rib cartilage and skin graft,
which only can be done by full-experienced specialists.

Step 7: After the surgery,
GNG provides the patients with Oxygen treatment and LED treatment
to prevent inflammation by stimulating blood circulation.

Step 8: GNG provides the patients with a nutrition injection as well
to stimulate metabolism and fast recovery.

-       No Need to Wait 6 Months for a Revision

Compared to other hospital
who have their patients wait more than 6 months for a revision,
 GNG shortens that period
by concentrated skin tissue treatment such as PRP, PDRN injection.
So our patients need to wait only 1-2 months to get a revision!

Big Nose Reduction at GNG Hospital

Hump Nose / Bulbous Nose Correction

Before Surgery

One day, I dream to be the owner of an online clothing site. I currently model for clothes, so I am always taking photos from every angle. But whenever I take photos, I feel like my big nose is such a distraction, making my image look completely haggard or more aggressive. So I want a complete nose makeover!

I went to GNG Hospital and had a face to face consultation with a very pretty consultant, who recommend the owner, Dr. Seong for my nose type. I was really nervous at first, but it was a really comfortable experience since the doctor felt more like an adorable uncle-type rather than a doctor haha

I know Dr. Seong is famous because he did over 4000 surgeries dealing with the most difficult nose cases in both revision and reconstruction. That was the biggest selling point for me, because I hoped mine could be a piece of cake in comparison! :D

Day 1

The surgery felt like a dream. It was over before I even knew it. Actually, even when I took this photo, I was still really dizzy. But I really wanted to document my change! I was already so excited right after the surgery finished. And most importantly, there was no pain! At all!

I basically went to sleep and the surgery was all finished! Incredible!

Day 7

The swelling and bruising got really bad during the first few days. I actually felt a bit sad at first, but it is day 7 already and you can see that the swelling and bruising is already gone. It's like it was never even there!

I am already excited because I can see my hump is already gone. My big nose is already smaller, so I am so excited to see my result!

Day 14

am so thrilled with my results so far! I swear, this is the type of nose I always wanted! You can see the nice feminine curve and you can see that it really balances out my face. Don't you think I look so much more feminine and younger now? :)

Day 30

Since the nose is so much more small and soft, you can see how it really complements my other features! My forehead looks so much more full and my cheeks and chin look more balanced. I feel like no matter which angle I take a photo, not only my nose, but my face looks so pretty! Before I would never take photos from a 45 degree angle because I felt like it would make my hump look 100x bigger and witch-like! BUT now, not at all!

Day 60

When I do my make-up, I feel like I look like a different person, almost. It's a little embarrassing to say, but I really feel so pretty! I always stare at myself in the mirror these days! :D

Everyone around me says I look so much better now, and a lot of people can't even tell I had surgery. They just say things like, "wow! when did you get to pretty?"

I just want to say thank you to everyone at GNG Hospital. Most importantly, thank you, Dr. Seong! I am so happy with my decision!

Nostril correction at GNG Hospital ' oo '

Nostrils can be deformed due to different reasons which can cause insecurity.
It can be fixed by surgical procedure.
GNG nostril correction considers facial balance, skin elasticity, cartilage size and strength.

Surgery Method

1. Upturned Alar Cartilage

2. Upturned Skin
3. Sagging Alar
4. Enlarged Nostrils
5. Uneven nostrils and Deviated Septum
6. Distorted nostrils due to Capsular Contracture

- Why GNG for nostril correction? -

Point 1 : Nostril correction is a high-level of surgery, requiring a specialist of full experience.

The reason why your nostrils look uneven can be the size of your alar cartilage, the elasticity of your skin, the strength of your cartilage, or capsular contracture. We analyze the exact cause of your case and fix it.

Point 2 : Makes the most beautiful nose from every angle!

The ideal shape of nostrils is an oval about 2mm on the central axis, and an isosceles triangle when looked from the bottom.
We find the best ratio that fits your nose so that your nostril can look beautiful from every angle.

Point 3 : Prevents having scars

The incision goes inside, so the scar is almost invisible.
If necessary, the incision goes from outside. But we perform the most sophisticated suture so you don't need to worry about scar.

What to Expect after Rhinoplasty

Nose Surgery? No Problem!

You probably have a lot of questions about undergoing the knife, right? How bad will the bruising be? Will there be a lot of pain? How swollen will I be? Can I breathe?

The truth is, the overall process is a lot faster than you may expect. First of all, in most cases, the surgery time will be about an hour and a half to two hours - of course this varies. After waking up from surgery, you will feel a mixture of from just being completely out of it to feeling like you're in a dream. Coming off anesthesia is like waking up from a drunken dream, almost. After a good ten minutes or so, you may start going from dream-state to feeling a bit uneasy or in a daze. For the next 30-45 minutes, you will be in the recovery room trying to snap out of it. During this time, you may feel nauseous and disoriented. You will not be allowed to drink water for up to three hours to ensure that the anesthesia is out of your system enough. This is to ensure you don't vomit from nausea, which actually isn't so common -- but vomiting right after surgery can cause unnecessary exerted pressure to your face, which should, by all means, be avoided.

After that first hour in the recovery room, you will be free to go home, or at least back to your hotel, and rest for the rest of the day. We recommend taking it easy the first two days, but actually it is quite common for most people to resume their normal daily activity  (minus intense exercise, alcohol, and such) from the second day. Usually this is when our restless patients will go shopping or touring around Korea.

The patient is required to wear a nose cast for up to 7 days following the surgery date. The patient will, in the meantime, visit the hospital on the 3rd or 4th day post-op to undergo a thorough cleaning and inspection by our medical team. When the 7th day comes, both the stitches and cast will be removed.

As you can see to the left, our patient has just removed her cast! The bruising isn't so bad, after all, right?

Why GNG Hospital? Patients travel from all over the world to visit us here at our Gangnam location for not only plastic surgery, but to correct functional issues such as snoring, breathing, nasal obstruction, and more. Simultaneously correct BOTH by board-certified plastic surgeons and ENT professionals
