Revision Rhinoplasty for Deviated Nose Review

"I got rhinoplasty revision at GNG Hospital. After I had my first rhinoplasty, I had accident and it had been deviated. As my nose is deviated, I always hid my nose and was being timid. My self-esteem become very low and I was hurt by my friend's jokes about my nose."

" I decided to have revision and started research to find hospital for rhinoplasty revision. I had consultation with many different hospitals and finally found GNG Hospital. The hospital has ENT doctors and plastic surgeons. I was expecting not only aesthetic but also functional improvement. Right after surgery
"I wore mask and came out. You can stay hospital for one night, but if you are living nearby or don't want to stay at hospital, you can go back and rest at home. I couldn't breathe with my nose after surgery. My nose was fully blocked with cotton balls and gauze. However, I could bear it because I was sure that my nose will be recovered soon."

Seventh day post operation

"I removed the big and thick cottons which were placed deep inside my nose today. I heard the cottons are called 'nose packing'. Removing the nose packing, I could check shape of my nose. I also got LED light treatment and oxygen therapy. The nurse told me these treatments prevent scar and inflammation and good for my skin survival rate. As it heals fast, my swelling can go away fast as well. I think GNG Hospital has great post-operation care compared to other hospitals. These are my front picture now. It improved a lot! So excited to remove cast!"

One month has passed after surgery
" I took this picture on the train. Swelling went away a lot and I don't have any complication. I just followed instructions GNG Hospital gave me and recovering well now. Fortunately, I do not have any complications so far, but some patients go through different kinds of complications. However don't panic. Just call GNG Hospital and kind doctors and nurses will give you right treatment and instructions to deal with your symptoms."

"After surgery, my parents and sister agreed that I made right decision for my rhinoplasty revision. Before the revision, I always wore glasses to hide deviated nose and those didn't go well with my face. Now I got confidence on my face and wear glasses just as accessories. People say that I get back my original personality which is active and positive."

1 week post-op
"A little less bruising today and my breathing is really improving. Please let Dr. Son know that my sense of smell is better now than it was before the operation. I really appreciate his good work!"

2 weeks post-op
"Hey so it’s been two weeks since my rhinoplasty with Dr. Son at GNG. I am really happy with how my recovery is going and they’ve been great with checking up to see how I’m doing.

There’s still a little bit of bruising on my bridge and some swelling of my tip. I think I still have a few dissolvable stitches in there somewhere and the scar on my columella needs more time to heal but I don’t think anyone at work has noticed!

Obviously it’s still fairly early but I’m impressed by how straight Dr. Son was able to make my bridge even though we didn’t use any implants. Even with the swelling, my tip is already way less bulbous and doesn’t hang downwards anymore. So yeah, I’m feel pretty good about my results even at this stage.

With each passing day I can see and feel improvements, especially my sense of smell. It is even better now than it was before my procedure! My breathing also feels smoother, almost effortless.

Bonus information: I’m happy to report that AirPods still fit well in my left ear after having cartilage taken from it!"

1 month post-op
"It’s been over a month since I had my rhinoplasty and I’m back to give you another update!

So I've been avoiding the sun as much as possible, as it’s super important not to get my nose sunburnt! Not working out has also helped my recovery progress. But it feels like I should be okay to gradually start working back up to my pre-surgery routine over the next few weeks without causing a nosebleed. I will have to avoid contact sports for a few more months at least though!"

2 months post-op
"Dr. Son flattened the nasal hump and my side profile is basically a million times better now. It’s even more impressive because he did it without an implant. I also really like the way he used cartilage from my ear to improve the area at the top of the bridge.

Straight after the cast came off, I had some funny skin discolouration where my bridge had been smoothed down. Over the last four weeks that has slowly returned to normal and is hardly noticeable now.

The numbness in my nose and ear (where I had cartilage taken from) is still there but the sense of feeling is definitely coming back.

I think I still have swelling in my upper lip and nose tip, so I'm hoping they will both eventually become more natural looking. I’ve learnt to appreciate the importance of being patient when recovering from a rhinoplasty and not worrying too much about things that usually sort themselves out over time. Especially when you've had a lot done!

I may have mentioned it before, but I really appreciate how much my breathing and sense of smell has improved. One of the things that really appealed to me about GNG was the way they care about not only improving how your nose looks, but also taking care that it functions well."

Before and After Double Eye Lid Surgery

I can't believe that I have these pretty eyes now. I guess many girls who have monolid like me want to get double eye lid surgery. Some people said my original eyes are attractive and unique but I didn't like my eyes much.

My aunt got blepharoptosis and lifting surgery at GNG Hospital. At that time, I was looking for a hospital for double eye lid surgery and she recommended me to visit them for a consultation. My aunt's result was very good after surgery and that's why I can rely more on GNG Hospital.

I had surgery today! Before I leave the hospital, I took off all the bandage I had on my eyes. I also shared my after surgery picture online and people said the result seems great! You may find I am totally fine and look so excited😆. I didn't need to be hospitalized after surgery so I just went back home and took rest.

Today is the seventh day! I visited GNG Hospital to do stitch out and got treatment for swelling as well. Still my eyes are swollen up, my double eye lid line is clear and defined.

Two weeks after surgery! My eyes become really clear. Before the surgery, asymmetry on my face was very obvious but after the surgery, it is improved. More balanced than before! Though my swelling is still on my eyes, doctor said it is very natural to have swelling now and it will be gone away as time goes.

It has only been a month but my eyes already look very natural. I can't remember my old eyes I had before the double eye lid surgery.

Three months has passed. I believe you can clearly see my result with my picture. As you can see, my eyes look natural and little bit of swelling has left but only I can notice it. I am so happy with my result and I also want to recommend GNG Hospital to you as my aunt did!

Rhinitis and Aesthetic Rhinoplasty Story at GNG Hospital

"I got my surgery before Thanksgiving day in Korea and now I am recovering. Only few swelling has left. My mother has pretty nose but I got my nose from my father 😵 and it used to be big and bulbous. Whenever I take selfie, the angle was very important to make my nose look small and sharp."

Before Surgery
"The pictures are my old selfies before surgery. When I decide to have rhinoplasty, I also wanted to improve my rhinitis so I did a lot of research to find hospital that can do both surgeries. Here at GNG Hospital, I got rhinitis and plastic surgery and alar reduction. GNG Hospital is good at rhinoplasty especially. On the day I had consultation, I decide to have surgery at GNG Hospital without any hesitation."

Right After Surgery

"I took the picture on surgery day. My surgery sound quite simple while I was having consultation. However, since I had three surgeries at the same time, it took long and the swelling is looking severe. I did my tip projection with my septal cartilage and right ear cartilage and alar reduction as plastic surgery and rhinitis surgery as functional surgery."

The third day post operation
"I worried about swelling a lot because my original nose was very big and bulbous. I got oxygen and LED light treatment as post operation care. Oxygen treatment helps preventing infection and scar and improves the survival rate. As the survival rate goes up, swelling can be gone away fast. Though the big bruise is shown clearly on the picture, swelling has disappeared much. The 'nose packing' which was blocking my nose are removed now. I feel little more comfortable in terms of breathing.

7th day Post-Operation
"I think the light was too bright to take picture. My bruise looks too obvious 😞.
My bruise became yellow and now it is all gone. I spent a lot of time to find the 'Right' hospital for my nose and the result was worth of my time and effort. I recommend you to make sure what you want first and do a lot of research before the surgery."

Two weeks after surgery
"Can you see my swelling? Stitch and cast have been removed so I hang out with my friends a lot these days. They praised about my nose a lot and show interest about the alar reduction. Can you see nose line from the side? I am really satisfied with my new nose!!!😁😃😄😤😆 I keep doing swelling care at home and visiting GNG Hospital for oxygen therapy and I think that's the reason why I don't have any other infection or complications till now."

A month after surgery
"See my nose! I did rhinoplasty due to my bulbous nose. As my alar become small, image of face changed a lot. My parents really worried when I had severe bruise after surgery but as swelling and bruise fade away, they are very happy with my nose as well. Whenever season changes, severe rhinitis was troublesome and that's why I had rhinoplasty at GNG Hospital. Theses days, the weather is changing but nasal discharge doesn't come out and I don't sneeze or sniffle anymore. I feel like distance between my eyes also become shorter than before the surgery and I like my nose very much. I am very satisfied with my result! Thank you GNG Hospital!💕"
