Precautions Prior to Surgery

※ Fast for 8 hours prior to surgery!

Water, food, candy, gum, smoking, medication, or any sort of tobacco is prohibited. Only mouthwash or oral hygienic sterilization is allowed during the fasting period.

1. For up to two weeks prior to the surgery, avoid medications such as Herbal(Chinese) medicine, Omega tablets, aspirin, Vitamin E, and hormones.

It is best advised to avoid ginseng and raw garlic as well during this time.

These types of indigestible can promote thinning of blood.

Please let your health practitioner know if you have already consumed so.

2. If you are currently taking any prescription medication due to a medical condition, or currently have a medical condition of any sort, please let us know in advance.

3. Do not wear any accessories on the day of your surgery (watches, necklaces, rings, earrings, piercings, etc.)

4. If you normally wear contacts, we recommend bringing your glasses. You will be asked to remove your glasses prior to surgery. Weaves, hair extensions, etc. are also prohibited.

5. Please remove nail polish, gel nail, etc. (hands and feet) !!!

(For your safety, we can't proceed your surgery if you don't remove it before the surgery)

6. Do not put on all types of cosmetics including sunblock cream, lotion, or BB cream

7. Please wear comfortable, loose clothing. A zip-up or button-up is recommended.

8. Please have enough rest before surgery.

*Please let us know if you have any removable appliances such as laminate, veneers, or implants. Let your doctor know if you have or had any type of medical condition we should know about. If you are currently on your menstrual cycle, please let us know as well.

Each patient will be individually prescribed medications inclusive of the following (please note that medication will vary based on the patient’s health record, medical condition, etc.): Amoxicillin (antibiotics), Menisolon (swelling steroids), Transamin Cap (hemostatics - keep bleeding within a damaged blood vessel), Taurolidine (antihistamine), Dibrufen (anti inflammatory), Mosapride Citrate (gastrointestional agent).

Prior to each surgery, our patients will undergo a series of medical examinations to ensure the safest surgery possible. Medication will be prescribed and given directly to the patient from our hospital.
