What is Seollal? Korean Lunar New Year consists of three main things: Food, Ancestrial Rites,Gifts and Games. As parents and siblings drift apart due to work, school, marriage, and other obligations, Seollal brings the family back together for a time of respect of happiness. The people of South Korea often receive time off to celebrate the five-day holiday. During this time, people will spend happy moments with their relatives while they rest for the New Year. Seollal is known for its large feast of traditional Korean food. One of the main dishes during this holiday is tteokguk. Tteokguk is a soup made of beef, vegetables, egg, and rice cakes. On the morning of the Seollal holiday, family members off ancestral rites to their deceased relatives. These rites are relatively humble, but they usually consist of simple ritual foods and good prayers. During the day of Seollal, it is common for people celebrating the holiday to play games with each other. One of the most popular games is yutnori. Yutnori is a board game played with sticks and has fairly simple rules. It can be played in teams, so all members of the family can engage in some fun competition to reconnect during the New Year holiday Gift giving has become a major aspect of the Seollal holiday in South Korea. While the types of gifts given will vary depending on financial situations, individual preference, and family traditions, there are some gifts that are standard for the holiday. Nowadays, some of the most frequently gifted presents include money and gift cards to department stores and shops. Children often give gifts like ginseng and health products to their parents. Other popular gift choices include toiletries, sweets, fish, and fruit.

Decide if you are going to book your surgery or not.

Surgery deposits are fully refundable up to 1 week pre-op. After one week pre-op, the refund will be decreased as the days pass.

Our doctors only allow 2-3 surgeries per day. If two has been booked, we must personally ask the doctor for approval on the third surgery slot. If the doctor allows it, we can book up to three. Otherwise two is the max, so please try to book in a timely matter in order to ensure your surgery during your limited stay.

All services at GNG Hospital are inclusive of medicine, airport car service, translation, pre-op health examinations, overnight hospitalization, post-op swelling and bruising care, as well as anesthesia and doctor fees, etc. Tax is exclusive. Photos can have limitations in proper aesthetic recommendations, so prices are subject to change depending on the surgical plan and can only be finalized after a face to face consultation with proper CT and X Ray analysis. Please note that plastic surgery and skin care at GNG Hospital is also now tax free so you will get back about 8% at the airport before you return back to your country.
