Three tips reducing recovery time after rhinoplasty!

Summer vacation is coming! I believe there are a lot of patients who are considering rhinoplasty during this summer vacation.

Before decide your surgery, you would be curious about the recovery after rhinoplasty. 

If you do rhinoplasty during summer vacation, you don't need to go back to school or work wearing cast on your nose. Also swelling and bruise can be recovered during vacation!

I am going to share Three tips which can shorten your recovery time!

Health condition and surgical plan are different depend on patients and recovery speed is always different from patients.

Usually, on seven days post operation, the stitch can be removed and you can wear make-up. 

Swelling becomes the worst on three days post operation. Big swelling disappears in one week. After a week, yellow bruise and small swelling will be remained and those also disappear in three months after surgery.

Warm and cold pack helps your recovery!

Until three days post operation, you need to do cold pack to prevent bleeding and infection. Start warm pack which helps blood circulation from four days post operation.

You should always put the pack around your nose, not on your nose.

Smoking and drinking are harmful to people who don't consider surgery as well!

Smoking and drinking can cause infection and bleeding after rhinoplasty so you should avoid those at least one month!

When you sleep after surgery, you need to keep your head upper than your heart and better to sit rather than lie down on bed. 

The most important thing is exercise! 

I recommend light walking and stretching and these helps your blood circulation and recovery but you should avoid excessive exercising such as swimming, mountain climbing and etc.

At the last, recovery after rhinoplasty is always different depend on patient's health and nose condition but you need to check the doctor's surgery experience and after surgery care that hospital provide to patients.
